Miscellaneous

If you're wondering why the 'views' of EdWeb are for a birdseye view, and a squirrelseye view, and there's no turtleseye view, you've come to the right place to understand that...

Think Bakersfield, and walk a mile in somebody else's shoes...

A 'Birdseye' view made sense to start with.

A Squirrelseye view - well that made sense to me.
Teachers - they run around like squirrels looking for nuggets, and trying to accumulate as many resources as they can for the coming school year. They are very resourceful, even during summer, and store up all that they've learned to help them make it through the next 3 seasons.

I see teachers as squirrels, and I mean that in a very complimentary way.

So why no 'turtleseye view of EdWeb' yet?

I see EdWeb turtles like me, slow and consistent, and we work for better things over time.

As a techie working in education, one important thing I've learned, above all else, is that I need to understand, and work with, others from their perspective.

With regards to a Turtleseyeview - I'll put some effort into that if there's another developer interested in helping to further the development of EdWeb.

I always love feedback - email me at gthomson@tierrasoftware.com with any thoughts.
